A month after the release of its teaser trailer, Netflix finally revealed the poster for the highly anticipated gangster flick from Martin Scorcese, The Irishman, that reunites some of the biggest names in mobster films: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci.
The film's poster features the three in a lineup that would definitely stir excitement from fans of Goodfellas and The Godfather franchise. Check out the official Netflix poster below:
The Irishman is based on Charles Brandt's bestselling book I Heard You Paint Houses. It tells the real-life story of Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, who had confessed of killing 25 people for his friend Jimmy Hoffa and Russel Bufalino, the legendary crime boss of the Bufalino crime family. The title of the book is said to be the first words uttered by Hoffa when he met Sheeran, "I heard you paint houses," and by paint the former meant killing people.
Robert De Niro plays the role of Frank Sheeran, while Al Pacino plays as Jimmy Hoffa and Joe Pesci as Russel Bufalino. Goodfellas director Martin Scorcese directed the film from a script by Steven Zaillian of Schindler's List.
The film is set for release in selected cinemas on November 8, and will be up for streaming on Netflix starting November 27.
